Processing Cost (Paid to the processor):
The Meat Market charges $0.80/lb. for processing + $35 kill fee + additional cost for smoking/curing and if you get products made from the trim. (Click here: cut sheet for additional pricing).

How to Order Bulk Pork in 4 Easy Steps:
RESERVE YOUR HOG
The first step is to pay your non-refundable deposit through the DCP online store to reserve your preferred pork quantity.
CHOOSE YOUR CUTS
DCP will send an order form to the email you listed when paying your deposit. Need help filling it out? Contact DCP or The Meat Market; we’re happy to help!
PAY YOUR INVOICE
The Meat Market will contact DCP with the hanging weight of your hog. Next, DCP will send an invoice for your final balance to the email you listed when paying your deposit.
PICK UP YOUR PORK
After processing is complete and you’ve paid your final balance, your pork will be ready for pickup at The Meat Market in Baraboo, WI. They will contact you with pickup details. See ”Receiving Your Order” below for more options.

Hog Cost
Meat is sold by hanging weight; appox. 180 lbs:
Whole= $4.50/lb.
Half= $5.00/lb.

Processing Cost The Meat Market charges $0.80/lb. for processing + $70 kill fee (whole hog) + additional cost for smoking/curing and if you get products made from the trim. (See the cut sheet for additional pricing).
Total Cost
With these prices in mind, the total estimate you can expect to pay to DCP and The Meat Market is approximately:
Whole= $1024.00
Half= $557.00
(Plus smoking/curing & additional products made from the trim. See processing cost.)
A hanging weight of 180lbs. will give you approximately 120lbs. of take home pork, giving you a final cost of:
Whole= $8.54/lb.
Half= $9.29/lb.
+ PAYMENT
You will make three separate payments:
1. Hog Deposit (non-refundable) Paid to DCP, via our online store, due before your hog goes to The Meat Market.
2. Hog Cost (less deposit)
Paid to DCP, via an invoice sent to your email address, due before picking up your pork from The Meat Market.
3. Processing Cost & Kill Fee
Paid to The Meat Market, due when you pick up your pork.

+ FREEZER SPACE
When calculating freezer space, allow for 1 cubic foot/30-35 lbs of meat. (A whole hog will give you approximately 120lbs. of take home pork). Chest freezers generally utilize space better than upright freezers.
+ CUSTOMIZE YOUR PACKAGING
When ordering, you can easily package the meat to accommodate the size of your family. All meat is frozen at The Meat Market. Each type of cut is labeled on the package.
+ SMALLER QUANTITIES
If a half/whole hog is more than you need, we also offer a variety of individual cuts available for on-farm pickup and home delivery.
